The Related Fandoms post - what's your dog in this fight?

(Anonymous)
It's not up yet. But it's definitely going to be the wankiest post. So who has an opinion on Sherlock adaptations, or comics, or Rihannsu, or Final Fantasy, or whatever?

They better not say popular character can't get in. I'm nomming Cloud and Terra for Dissidia: Final Fantasy and I don't want them to say that Cloud has waaaaay too many fics to his name already.

Braced for a comics hurricane, can't lie. I think, for myself, it's not even that I'm desperate for any one AU in particular, I just see red when there's an inevitable "sneaking in the MCU!" response from somewhere. It's like Pavlov's bell to me at this point. One or two "Spn or suicide!" miscreants should not be the yardstick by which we measure an entire genre, you know?

Same for me. None of my comcis fandoms is even affected by the change, but the attitude that everyone is nominating comics to sneak in MCU requests and pairings has me up in arms.

If this is a reaction to the SPN thing how is this even going to change anything? Unreasonable requesters will still be unreasonable.

I'm just evil enough that I wish I'd been the one to get that Spn or suicide request. I think I might have written about one of the characters offing himself because he didn't get his way.

I can't help but notice that post is being made right during the middle of SDCC so a lot of fans will likely be distracted with news coming out for their canons. I'm pretty sure the MCU panel in particular is on Saturday so a lot of comic fans will be paying attention to it instead of the mods are doing.

I'll be around. *steeples fingers*

What a delicious conspiracy theory. It can't be true, surely, but I'm charmed by it all the same. (And on guard, in the absence of my brethren.)
